How To Cancel Updates On iPhone / Turn off iOS Updates

Follow the below steps:

Step 1– Go to settings app on your iPhone device be it, Mac or iPhone.

Step 2– Afterwards go to the General tab. In this tab, you will find an option of a software update. In software update scroll down to the last in case you have some update available.

Step 3– In the software update, you will see a toggle bar, disable the toggle.

For MAC Users: And the same story for the Mac users also, they can also disable or turn off automatic software update and top alerting the message like this on the Mac notification bar.

Well if you don’t know how to force restart your device follow the below steps.

  • For the iPhone 8 8 plus and X: Press the volume up and down button turn by turn. Afterward, press or hold only side button until you see Apple logo.
  • For iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 5S:  press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least ten seconds.

Once your iPhone is rebooted you will get rid of this popup for OTA updates.
